Pastoral Planning Communication
St Peter and St Michael Parishioners:

We would like to take a few minutes of your time to communicate a message about a topic that is extremely important to each and every parishioner at St. Peter and St. Michael Churches. A few weeks ago, Fr. Paul mentioned that the Diocese had engaged the Catholic Leadership Institute to conduct a Pastoral Planning initiative. As Fr Paul mentioned in the bulletin, Bishop Marshall has posted a video and a FAQ section on the Diocese website for you to visit. We hope that you viewed the video and reviewed the FAQs. If you have not had the opportunity to do so, we highly recommend that you take the time to review this information. You will become better informed and it may answer many questions that you might have. The Diocese of Alexandria website link is: https://www.diocesealex.org/

Scroll down to Latest News- “Together as One Church” to watch the video and review the FAQ.
We want to pass on some information about what the project entails and a timeline for the project. You are encouraged you to stay engaged with the KPLs and Fr. Paul to answer your questions. Check the Diocese website periodically for updates. There are some rumors floating around that one or both of our churches might be closed. These are only rumors and should be dismissed as such. As mentioned before, no decisions have been made about any restructuring or closures. We also encourage you to pray for a positive outcome for the future for our churches and for those who will be making the final decisions that might impact all churches in the Diocese. If you have questions regarding the process or any other aspect of this initiative, please contact one of the KPLs mentioned above or Fr Paul. If we don’t have an answer, we will make every effort to get the answer for you.
